ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve and award Bid #2010-220 Financial System Contract.
BACKGROUND
Request for proposal packets were sent to vendors on March 12, 2010.
The vendors, Munis Software, Incode, New World Systems, and Cogsdale presented an overview of their systems to an employee user focus group in April.
Proposals were due back to the City on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.

The vendors, Munis Software, Incode, New World Systems, and Cogsdale presented an overview of their systems to an employee user focus group in April.

ANALYSIS
Proposals were received from Munis Software, Incode, New World Systems, and Cogsdale. Each vendor was evaluated by the user focus group and the top two preferences, Munis and Incode, were selected for more detailed review.
Munis and Incode returned to Texas City and gave a more detailed presentation of their systems.
After completing the review, the focus group selected Munis Software.
The Finance Department recommends the selection of Munis Software for the new financial system. The funding for the new system was approved in the fiscal year 2006/2007 budget and has been carried forward in each budget since.
