ACTION REQUESTED
Consider approval to charge for skeet field use and rental for groups and agencies.
BACKGROUND
The City of Texas City Shooting Range has had request by public of wanting to use the skeet fields for groups and/or fundraisers. Citizens are only charged per rounds of skeet pulled and allowed the use of one (1) field only. Over the years the skeet fields activity has increased tremendously with the addition of the skeet league and past groups and agencies utilizing our fields at no charge. These groups and agencies use the fields (tying up one (1) field for 20 or 40 rounds of skeet, whereas we can shoot 60 to 100 rounds with regular customers).
We would like to propose to start charging these groups and agencies (excluding: Mayor's Cup, TCPD Law Fest & T.C.I.S.D./Grandfathered in) some type of fee.
Groups/Agencies (minimum of 10 shooters) would be allowed the usage and rental of one (1) skeet field for a group outing or fundraiser would be charged $50.00/per hour, plus the fees (at present time) for skeet rounds pulled with a minimum of two (2) hour rental.
We would like to propose that the fees listed be accepted and effective by April 1, 2012. Listed is a basic proposal for regular hours and daylight savings time hours.
