ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City’s fiscal year 2007/2008 budget.
BACKGROUND
A budget amendment is needed to purchase a 30-acre tract in San Leon for the construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Plant facility. The site is in Zone 3 of the Capital Recovery Plan, however, there is no development or revenue activity from this zone. Currently, there are two development projects in the review and approval process, which are Southlake and Grayson Communities. The source of funding will be the General Fund until revenues are generated, at which time the fund will be reimbursed.
