BACKGROUND
On June 18, 2008 the Texas City Commission awarded the Picked Up Limestone Annual Contract to Vulcan Construction Materials LP, for the unit price of $ 19.66 per ton. The location of the stock yard for Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc. had changed from Seabrook to Texas City and was not noticed until after the award was made to Vulcan Construction Materials LP.
ANALYSIS
I recommend to rescind the award made to Vulcan Construction Materials LP, for $ 19.66 per ton and award the Picked Up Limestone Annual Contract to Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc., for $ 19.00 per ton.
