ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve resolution amending Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)Landscape Maintenance Agreement.
BACKGROUND
Texas City and TxDOT entered into a Right-of-Way Landscape Maintenance Agreement dated August 16, 2000 for the installation of Longhorn Statues in the vicinity of FM 1764 and IH 45 and for the installation of landscaping along FM 1764 at Century Blvd.
ANALYSIS
Texas City requests to amend these Agreements to install additional landscaping at the steer/longhorn locations. The City has hired a qualified Landscape Architecture firm to prepare plans and specifications in compliance with TxDOT standards.
