Approval of the 2008 Certified Roll
BACKGROUND
In accordance with the Texas Property Tax Code, once the tax rate is adopted and applied to the appraisal roll, the governing body must approve the tax roll.
ANALYSIS
On adoption of the tax rate for the current year, the assessor calculates the tax imposed on each property included on the appraisal roll.
The 2008 Certified Roll will generate an approximate total levy of $24,436,699.47.
