ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)

Approve and award RFP # 2009-921 for the Control System Maintenance and Repairs Annual Contract.

BACKGROUND

RFP packets were mailed to seven (7) area vendors on September 26, 2008.  A letter of recommendation from the Waterwater Treatment Plant Superintendent is attached for your review.

Proposals were due Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.

ANALYSIS

The low, responsible proposal meeting all specifications was received from O'Day Instruments, LLC, in Santa Fe, for the proposed scope of work and cost for a bi-monthly site maintenance.  The first year total cost to perform the yearly maintenance is $24,980.00.

It is my recommendation to award the annual contract for the Control System Maintenance and Repairs to O'Day Instruments, LLC, and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission to be in full force and in effect.
