Approve and award a contract for Bid # 2021-396 Rehabilitation of the Godard 1,000,000 Gallon Elevated Storage Tank.
BACKGROUND
A notice to bidders was advertised January 12 and January 19, 2021. Bid packets were made available to local area vendor via CIVCASTUSA. Bids were received and opened on January 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.. The lowest responsible bid meeting all the specification was received from Gulf States Protective Coatings, Inc for the total amount bid $788,080.00.

ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department to award bid # 2021-396 Bid # 2021-396 Rehabilitation of the Godard 1,000,000 Gallon Elevated Storage Tank to Gulf States Protective Coatings, Inc. for the total bid amount of $788,080.00, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. It is further recommended that the Mayor be authorized to approve any change orders, not to exceed 25% of the total contract price, without bringing the matter before the City Commission.
