ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and approve the 2021 City of Texas City Tax Abatement Guidelines.
BACKGROUND
On January 18, 2017, the City of Texas City, Texas elected to renew the tax abatement guidelines by Resolution 17-002. In accordance with Section 312.002 of the Texas Tax Code, we are required to renew our guidelines after two years. City staff has updated the tax abatement guidelines and prepared them for your review and approval.
ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of the Economic Development Director to approve the renewal of the City of Texas City Tax Abatement Guidelines.
