ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the fiscal year 2020-2021 budget to accept and appropriate the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Mitigation funds for drainage improvements.
BACKGROUND
The Texas General Land Office Community Development and Revitalization division (GLO-CDR) completed its scoring of all Mitigation Harvey Round 1 HUD Most Impacted and Distressed (HMID) Competition grant applications. The City was awarded Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds for drainage improvements in the amount of $14,965,447.00.
A budget amendment is needed to create a new fund to account for the grant revenues and project expenditures.
