ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Discussion with Garner Economics LLC regarding the draft Strategic Plan - Pathways to Prosperity, An Economic Development Action Plan for Texas City, Texas
BACKGROUND
On November 30, 2021, the Texas City Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) authorized an agreement with Garner Economics LLC to develop a strategic plan for the Texas City Economic Development Corporation to provide an action plan for the TCEDC to follow over the next five-years. Elements of the plan were to include the following:
A. Target Industry Analysis
B. Other Development and Redevelopment Strategies
C. Business Retention & Expansion Efforts & Strategies
D. Economic Development Incentive Policy Review
E. Marketing, Tourism, Website Analysis and Review
F. Department Analysis
G. Implementation Plan
Garner Economics LLC., has completed the plan and will be providing an overview to the Corporation at the August 10th meeting.
