ACTION REQUEST
The Commission shall consider and take action on Commissioner Jamie Clark's request for $4,000 in Commission Grant funds for a local Boy Scout's Troop (246).
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
The Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime. They teach boys character development, citizenship and personal fitness. These are the types of boys we want in our community and hope they can go out and make a difference in our world. The goal is to have them come back to our community and make a difference here. Funds are available in the Commission Grant Funds FY 2022-2023.
RECOMMENDATION
Commissioner Jamie Clark is recommending that the City Commission approve grant funding to Boy Scout's Troop 246 and Cub Scout Pack 240 in the amount of $4,000.
