ACTION REQUEST
Consider approval of a request to amend the fiscal year 2022-2023 budget to appropriate funds for purchase of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for fire station 4 and police substation.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
From Fire Chief Zacherl, the estimated cost of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for fire station 4 and police substation is $125,000. The breakdown is attached.
The station is expected to be completed in the first quarter of fiscal year 2023-2024. However, FF&E needs to be ordered now to ensure delivery prior to station completion.
A budget amendment is required from the General Fund's unassigned fund balance. The expenditures will be split between Fire (Department 202) and Police (Department 201) based on where in the building the FF&E is installed.
