ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)

This is a request for Stan Armentor c/o Windstorm Plus which was recommended for approval by the Zoning Commission on August 18, 2009 for ‘SP’ Site Plan rezone from "O" (Open Space) to "E" (General Business) & 'SP" Site plan rezone for “E-4” (Commercial Warehousing) to construct commercial retail and storage. 1) ABST 164 PAGE 10 BLK 39 CLIFTON LAND & PRODUCTION COMPANY SUB aprx 4.7 acres, 2) ABST 181 J S SHERMAN SUR PT of LOT A(1-20) JONES SUB aprx 0.941 acres, located 4837 FM 646, 3) ABST 164 E PAYNE SUR PT OF BLK 40 TRGS G & H (0-0) CLIFTON LAND & PRODUCTION COMPANY SUB, located at 4901 FM 646. There were no controversial issues associated with the request. There was no one present to speak in opposition to the rezoning request. The development intent was provided to the Commission by the applicant. Staff departmental comments were provided and the applicant was informed that the proposal would have to adhere to the Landscaping provisions, performance standards required with the Sign Ordinance and the Masonry Ordinance and provisions. The request is not in conflict with the Land Use Plan. After reviewing the information presented, the Zoning Commission members present unanimously voted to recommend approval of this request. BACKGROUND

This proposed rezoning request was given approval by the Zoning Commission on August 18, 2009.  It is ready to go befodre the City Commission for final disposition.
