ACTION REQUEST
The Utilities Department is seeking approval to enter into a contract with Magna Flow Environmental to remove debris from waste water treatment plant tanks and head-works. This contract term is for three years with no price increases and the option for two additional 12-month extensions with a maximum of a 4% increase with each additional extension. The cost is estimated up to $245,000.00/yr, which is based on an estimated volume of 700 cu/yds at $350.00/yd.

BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Bid 2025-484 was opened on June 18, 2025. Only one bid was received, and it was from Magna Flow Environmental Inc. to remove and dispose of all sand, solids, trash and debris from upper and lower levels of the bioreactors, and other tanks, including head-works effluent receiving tank, located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
RECOMMENDATION
Due to the City of Texas City's ongoing relationship with Magna-Flow Environmental, it is the recommendation of the Utilities Department and Public Works Department that we use Magna-Flow Environmental Inc. for debris removal from the WWTP.
