ACTION REQUEST
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-084, approving the Development Agreement with Texas-New Mexico Power Company allowing the use of pumped detention for the Lago Mar Substation to be constructed near the intersection of S.H.3 and DePalermo Rd upon certain conditions.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Texas-New Mexico Power Company owns an approximately 6.01-acre tract of real property located near the intersection of SH 3 and Depalermo Rd on which it seeks to construct a new electric substation to provide electrical service for areas of growth in Texas City. Due to physical constraints on the site, it is necessary for TNMP to install, own and operate a pumped detention stormwater management system in the cross-hatched area of the property. Conditions for the approval of the pumped detention stormwater management system are memorialized in the attached Development Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommend approval of the Development Agreement with Texas New Mexico Power Company to memorialize the conditions for TNMP to install, own and operate a pumped stormwater detention system at the location of a new substation to be constructed near the intersection of SH 3 and Depalermo Rd.
