ACTION REQUEST
Commission approval for Huber Auger Replacement at WWTP for the amount of $85,700.00.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
This is to replace the auger in the grit removal system at the head-works of the WWTP. The fluid this auger moves is highly corrosive with high concentrations of sediment causing excessive wear to the auger's flights and reduces its capacity to operate efficiently. The budget for this item is $95,000.00. (See Exhibit A and B for quote and sole source letter)
RECOMMENDATION
The Utilities Department recommends approval of this purchase for the efficient operation of the WWTP.
