ACTION REQUEST
Approval is requested to amend the Neighborhood Services Budget to appropriate an additional $155,000 in funding to support operational needs and service delivery.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Funding allocated for FY26 has been fully depleted due to increased demand for services. The department has experienced a rise in tall grass complaints and enforcement cases, along with an increase in junk and debris complaints, resulting in higher operational costs and resource utilization.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the budget amendment to provide an additional $155,000 in funding to ensure services for the remainder of the fiscal year, address the increased volume of code enforcement complaints and cases, and maintain compliance with City standards.
