The Utilities Department is asking for City Commission approval to enter into contract with Bull G Construction for the ongoing replacement of City sanitary sewer lines in the amount of $1,550,958.00.

On April 29, 2026, the City received nine (9) bids were received for the above referenced project. The project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 28,030 L.F. of 6-inch through 12-inch sanitary sewer at various locations throughout the City. The project was bid with a base bid and two (2) Add Alternates. The Add Alternate bids included the rehabilitation of additional sanitary sewer lines in the City.  As discussed with the City of Texas City, the Base Bid, Add Alternate No. 1 and Add Alternate No. 2 bids were utilized as a basis for award of the contract.  For more detailed information and bid tab. It is the recommendation of the Utilities Department and ARKK Engineering that the City Commission approve the contract above with Bull G Construction.
