ACTION REQUEST
Request to engage Tetra Tech for professional engineering services for the redevelopment design phase of the Bayou Golf Course. This engagement will include submittals for review at the 30% milestone for this proposal, as well as schematic layout and 30% plan reviews. Deliverables will include plans, specifications, and bid items, including cost estimates.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
The Bayou Golf Course is experiencing significant issues primarily due to poor drainage, tidal flooding, and turf damage caused by brackish water. Holes 1 - 4, 6, 8 and 18 require fairway and/or culvert improvements. The extent of the damage has resulted in numerous dead areas and “mud pits” throughout the front nine of the course. Conditions continue to worsen each year, and redevelopment is necessary to restore the course and ensure more consistent playability on the front nine.
This project is an approved FY26 budgeted capital item, and funds are available in account #801-401-55650.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended by the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department to move forward with the proposal from Tetra Tech for the redevelopment planning phase at the Bayou Golf Course.
