If no candidate files by the deadline (write-in deadline March 15, 2010) , then the governing body will decide whether to cancel the election in accordance with Section 2.053(a) of the Texas Election Code by declaring candidates for Mayor, Two (2) Commissioners At-large, Commissioner Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 unopposed; declaring candidates for Mayor, Two (2) Commissioners At-large, Commissioner Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 elected; providing for the cancellation of the May 8, 2010, General Election.
