Bid packets were mailed to area vendors on April 12, 2010.

ANALYSIS
The low responsible bids meeting all the specifications were received as follows, for the unit prices bid:
Estes, Inc., in Houston:
Section One: items # 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 20, 26, 29, 31, 32 and 34
Section Two: items # 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12
John Deere Landscapes, in Cleveland, Ohio:
Section One: items 4, 10, 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 30, 33 and 35
Section Two: items # 4 and 5
Univar USA, in Houston:
Section One: items # 3, 9, 25 and 28
It is my recommendation to award the Chemicals and Fertilizer Annual Contract to Estes, Inc., John Deere Landscapes and Univar USA, for the unit prices bid per items and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
