Second reading of Ordinance 10-14 altering the vehicle speed limits along the entire length of SH 146 in Texas City.
BACKGROUND
TxDOT will periodically perform speed studies along state roadways. Considering all the changes and improvements along SH 146, TxDOT performed a speed study for SH 146 in August 2009.
TxDOT forwards the results of their speed study to the City. If the City concurs with the findings and adopts an ordinance setting the speed limits, TxDOT will replace all required signs and markings.
