Consider and take action on Ordinance No. 16-14, amending the City of Texas City's Fiscal Year 2015-16 Budget to appropriate funds for the purchase of a road planer. (Finance)

A budget amendment is needed to appropriate funds for the purchase of a road planer for the Public Works department.

This equipment will help the street and bridge crews with road repairs; repairs that can be done "in-house" and not contracted out.  The city will be able to retain the road material from the planing process for use on various road repairs.

Funds will come from the Capital Equipment Replacement Fund undesignated fund balance.

Public Works Operating Equipment       $388,000.00
Undesignated Fund Balance                ($388,000.00)
