ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 16-033, approving and awarding a contract for Bid # 2016-318 Belt Filter Press Replacement Project. (Public Works)
BACKGROUND
On April 4, 2016 the request for bidders was advertised. Bid packets were made available by ARKK Engineers via CivCast.
The bid opening was held on April 19, 2016.

ANALYSIS
The low responsible bid meeting all specifications was from Alfa Laval, Inc. for the total sum of $284,350.00. Funds are available in the 2015-16 Budget.
It is the recommendation of the Utilities Department that Bid # 2016-318 Belt Filter Press Replacement Project, be awarded to Alfa Laval, Inc. and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. It is further recommended that the Mayor be authorized to approve change orders, not to exceed 25% of the total contract price without taking the matter before the City Commission.
