Consider and take action on Resolution No. 16-079, regarding lease of 75 Yamaha Drive2 Quie-EFI golf carts through BuyBoard - Local Government Purchasing Cooperative for the Bayou Golf Course golf cart fleet. (Purchasing)

The Bayou Golf Course rents its golf cart fleet.  In the past, the golf course utilized electric golf carts on a four year lease.  This year, with the advancement in gas motor golf carts and the advice of several expert, the staff will lease gas powered golf carts that will actually be lower in the monthly cost and the annual maintenance.  Because of the dependability, the lease will be for five years instead of four. All  equipment leased through an agreement with Yamaha Golf-Car Company is done by Yamaha Commercial Customer Finance.  The BuyBoard contract consists of: 60-month lease; $60.55 per car per month - $4,541.25 total monthly; delivery proposed for December 2016; and includes the trade-in of seventy-two (72) '12 Yamaha DRIVE carts at $1,350.00 each.

The delivering dealer is Yamaha Golf-Car Company.

It is my recommendation to award the lease of seventy-five (75) golf carts from Yamaha Golf-Car Company through BuyBoard  - Local Government Purchasing Cooperative.
