ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and approve a resolution awarding a contract for Bid # 2017-328 Bay St. Park Airplane Parking Lot and Basketball Court Parking Lot Repair and Asphalt Overlay Project.
BACKGROUND
Bid packets were given to local area vendors and bids were opened on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. The lowest responsible bidder meeting all requirements, was Hayden Paving Inc. A bid tabulation is attached for your review.
ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that the City Commission award this project to Hayden Paving Inc., for the amount bid and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. Public Works also asks that the Mayor be authorized to execute change orders not to exceed 25% of the contract amount without bringing the matter before the commission.
