Mayor Matthew T. Doyle signed a declaration of disaster for the City of Texas City on August 25, 2017.  It lasted 7 days.  To make sure we take steps in accordance with a disaster in line with the Federal and State governments, it is essential that we continue that declaration for the City for at least 30 days since the threats to health, safety and life are still imminent.  The Emergency Called Meeting can be called with 2 hours notice and notice to the media within 1 hour if it is for public's health and safety and urgency is required to prevent further threat or to reduce the threat.  See the attachments including the resolution and the original declaration attached to this item.
