Consider and take action on Resolution No. 18-022, approving and awarding a contract for bid # 2018-343 Parks Service Center Roof Repair Project. (Public Works)

On February 2, 2018, notice was published and bid packets were made available. Bids were received and opened on Friday, February 16, 2018. The low responsible bidder meeting all requirements, was Texas Liqua Tech Services, Inc. for the bid amount of $44,700.00.

A letter of recommendation and bid tabulation are attached for your review.

It is the recommendation of the Public Department that the City Commission award this project to Texas Liqua Tech Services Inc. for the amount bid and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. Public Works further requests that the Mayor be authorized to execute change orders not to exceed 25% of the contract amount, without bringing the matter before the Commission.
