ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
A resolution approving the Community Development Annual Action Plan and Budget for program year 2018
BACKGROUND
On June 4, 2018 the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated $ 410,474 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the City of Texas City for Program Year 2018 which represents a budget increase of $57,321 more than the previous year. Community Development Block Grant funds provides funding for housing, community and economic development activities, and assistance for primarily low-and moderate-income persons.
As required by HUD staff held two (2) citizen participation hearing on May 3, and June 7, 2018, each were published in the Galveston Daily News. There were no opposition to the proposed activities or budget. No comments have been received.
