ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action approving and awarding Bid # 2018-354 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project - Phase18A.
BACKGROUND
A "Notice To Bidders" was advertised on June 28, 2018. Bids were received and opened on July 17, 2018. The low responsible bid, meeting all specifications, was received from King Solutions Services LLC., in Houston Texas. A letter of recommendation with a bid tabulation is attached for your review.
ANALYSIS
The Public Works Department, along with ARKK Engineers, recommends the award of Bid # 2018-354 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project - 18A to King Solution Service, LLC for the total amount bid of $374,620.00, and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. It is further recommended that the Mayor be authorized to approve changer orders not to exceed 25% of the total contract price without taking the matter before the City Commission.
