ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)

Approval to amend the Purchasing Policy and Procedure Manual.

BACKGROUND

It is recommended by the Purchasing Department to amend the Purchasing Policy and Procedures Manual to add a "Table of Contents" and to modify Section I, Introduction, Section II, Legal Requirements, Section III, Vendor Contact and Application, Section IV, Procurement Policies and Procedures and Section V, Formal Sealed Bids and Proposals.

Revisions are in reference to the Texas Local Government Codes, FEMA, Texas Ethics Commission and Department of Education.

All revisions have been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney. Revisions are attached for Commission review.
