ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 19-025, approving the change in status of the part-time unpaid Deputy Marshal position to a full-time paid Deputy Marshal position. (Marshal's Office)
BACKGROUND
Marshal Montez is currently working approximately 16 hours a week.
Marshal Montez worked approximately 840 hours in 2018.
The total number of outstanding warrants are down 17% since the creation of the Marshal’s Office.
The total value of outstanding warrants are down 5% since the creation of the Marshal’s Office.
Total warrants collected since creation of the Marshal’s Office is $ 767,156.02.
Additional cost of adding second full time position is approximately $ 77,535.34, which includes salary and benefits, a portion of which may be paid from the Court Security Fund which currently has a very health fund balance.
