ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve and award a contract for bid # 2019-369 Lift Station 29 Improvements Project.
BACKGROUND
On June 5, 2019, notice was published and bid packets were made available from ARKK Engineers, through CivcastUSA. On June 27, 2019 bids were received, opened, and read aloud.
The lowest responsible bidder meeting all requirements was R & B Group, Inc. for the total bid amount of $1,089,166.00.
A bid tabulation and letter of recommendation from the project engineering firm, ARKK Engineers, are attached for your review.

ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that the City Commission award this project to R & B Group, Inc. for the total bid amount of $1,089,166.00 and authorize the Mayor to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission. Public Works further recommends that the Mayor be authorized to execute any change orders, not to exceed 25% of the contract amount, without bringing the matter before the City Commission.
