ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Approve and award a contract for bid # 2019-367 Texas City Moore Memorial Library Renovation Project.
BACKGROUND
On June 3, 2019 notice was published and bid packets were made available to to local area vendors. Bids were received, opened, and read aloud on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at 2 p.m..
The lowest responsible bidder meeting all requirements was Ardent Construction, LLC. for the total bid amount of $955,000.00.
A bid tabulation and letter of recommendation are attached for your review.

ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department that the City Commission award this project to Ardent Construction, Inc. for the total bid amount $955,000.00. and that the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City Commission. Public works further requests that the Mayor be authorized to execute any change order, not to exceed 25% of the contract amount, without bringing the matter before the City Commission.
