Consider and take action on Resolution No. 19-23, approving the Amended Contract with Meritage Homes.

Meritage has opted to increase the number of acres that they wish to initially acquire from 33 acres to 40 acres and have to options on additional land. The original price was just under $900,000.  The new price is $1,080,000 (still $27,000/acre).  The options are Option 1for an additional 22 acres at $30,000/acre and Option 2 would be for 35 acres at $33,000/acre.  There are a few nuances that changed from the original contract, but it is essentially the same.  Rusty Plackemeier, city attorney, will be present to explain the overall differences.
