Consider and take action on Resolution No. 19-37, approving the matching funds for the Advertising/Promotion Campaign for Downtown 6th Street Association. 

When the Downtown 6th Street Association organized, they started to charge dues and took some of the burden of promotions for 6th Street activities, promotions, events, etc. off of the TCEDC.  The TCEDC agreed to pay up to half to assist the association until they could be totally self-sufficient.  At this time, they have an opportunity to create a social media campaign for 6 months that does a number of things including geo-fencing, google and other promotions.  The services are rendered through the Houston Chronicle staff.  If approved by the association on Tuesday, we hope to have the Chronicle representatives present to explain the program.
