ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on an ordinance vacating and abandoning portions of 10th Street South and 1st Avenue South.
BACKGROUND
The applicant, Raymond Guidry, owns several parcels of land south of Texas Avenue and adjacent to 10th Street South and 1st Avenue South. The request is to abandon the portions of 10th Street South and 1st Avenue South that are adjoining property owned by Tennille, Inc. totaling 1.029 acres. This request for abandonment will allow the consolidation of individual blocks and lead to better economic development opportunities. The Planning Board has conducted a Public Hearing in response to this request and has recommended approval.
