The bus will replace the existing 2004 passenger bus that has been in and out of the shop for major ongoing repairs that have been costly.  We will replace it with a 2019 passenger bus that comes with a 5 year 100,000-mile warranty. Transportation is a vital part of the Nessler Senior Program that is utilized to transport seniors on a daily basis.

It is the recommendation of the Recreation and Tourism Department to award the HGAC – Houston Galveston Area Council – Buying Cooperative Agreement, purchase totaling $69,639.63. Funds are available in the FY 2019/2020 Recreation and Tourism Capitol Equipment replacement fund.
