ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-075, appointing an Associate Judge. (Municipal Court)
BACKGROUND
In the past, the city has had a temporary appointment to assist when a judge would be out due to illness, etc. Because of the COVID situation and other matters, we feel it is better to appoint an associate judge who is only called upon when needed and we do not have to delay until the city commission can make the appointment which could take up to two weeks. Donnie Quintanilla has been the Temporary Judge in the past and is willing to serve as an associate judge. His resume is attached.
