Consider and take action on Resolution No. 20-12, approving the demolition of the El Cabana Motel located on Texas Avenue and the 600 Block of 6th Avenue. 

We have been working with Marathon on the purchase of property in the area.  Part of the work, was if they acquired the old El Cabana motel, we would place on our demolition contracts and they would pay.  It saves them some money and allows us to get rid of an eyesore.  All funds will be reimbursed by Marathon, plus about 10% for administration of city staff.  Estimated cost is $125,000, however, recently we have been successful in getting demolitions below estimates.
