Approve and award a contract for bid # 2020-373 Westbury and Tarpey Road Drainage Improvements Project to AR Turnkee Construction Company Inc.
BACKGROUND
On June 24, 2020, a Notice to Bidders was sent to the Galveston County Daily News and it was advertised on June 26, 2020 and July 03, 2020. Bid packets were made available to local area vendors via CivCast. Thirteen bids were received and opened on July 16, 2020. The lowest responsible bidder was AR Turnkee Construction Company Inc. The total amount bid is $1,204,586.50.

ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of ARKK Engineers LLC., and the Public Works Department, to award the Westbury & Tarpey Drainage Improvements Project to AR Turnkee Construction Company Inc., for the total bid amount of $1,204,586.50 and that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the Commission. We further request that the Mayor is authorized to approve any change order, not to exceed 25%, without bringing the matter before Commission .
