Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City's fiscal year 2019-20 budget.

A budget amendment is needed to appropriate additional funds for street improvement projects on 29th Street and Westbury Road and Tarpey Road.

From Public Works department: 
TOTAL BID:  $ 1,204,586.50 – AR Turnkee Construction 

1. 29^th Street & Westbury Bid (Certificate Of Obligation)  =  $668,665.50

 ·       Available Construction Budget is $801,294 after deducting engineering fee ($922,464.85-$121,170);

·       Therefore remaining  budget for 21^st Street = $801,294 - $668,665.50 = $132,628.50

 ·       Bid for 21st Street                                           =           $183,839

·       Additional Budget Needed                             =              $51,210.50 ($183,839-$132,628.50)

 ·       Please note that Westbury and 21^st street improvements was not part of the original project. 

2. Tarpey Road Construction Bid (acct # 411-301-55550): $ 352,082  

 ·       Available Construction Budget is $300,180 after deducting engineering fee ($350,000 -$49,820). 

·       Additional Construction Budget Needed =               $51,902 ($352,082-$300,180)

 ·       Increase due to the need for box culverts adjacent to homes.

Total Budget Needed for the Project - $51,210.50 + $51,902 = $103,112.50
