BACKGROUND
The "Notice To Bidders" for 2020-386 Texas City Pedestrian Bridge Replacement was published in The Daily News on 08/12/2020 and 08/19/2020, and bid packets were made available, via CivCast, to local area vendors.
Bids were opened on 09/10/2020 at 11:00 a.m..
The lowest responsible bidder meeting all of the qualifications was, DVL Enterprises, LLC., for the total bid amount of $396,900.00.

ANALYSIS
It is the recommendation of the City Engineer along with ARKK Engineers, LLC., to award the contract for bid number 2020-386 Texas City Pedestrian Bridge Replacement Project to DVL Enterprises, LLC., for the total bid amount of $396,900.00, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
It is further recommended that the Mayor be authorized to approve any change order, not to exceed 25% of the contract amount, without bringing the matter before the City Commission.
