Consider approval of a request to amend the City of Texas City's fiscal year 2020-2021 budget.

A budget amendment is needed to appropriate funds to pay for Bay Street Park pedestrian bridge replacement.

Funds will come from the Texas City Dike Fund unassigned fund balance.

The project is Bay Street Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement (replacing an existing 8 foot wide, wood bridge with wood pilings with a 12 foot wide, steel, single span bridge)

The Base Bid plus Supplemental Items is $396,900.00

This is the second pedestrian project associated with a TxDOT and Federal Transit Administration grant.  The first project was to install new 12 foot wide paths along Bay Street, along the levee, and in Bay Street Park.

We have received $316,000 reimbursement from Gulf Coast Center for the first project.  We expect approximately $93,000 of reimbursement with completion of this pedestrian bridge project.
