ACTION REQUEST (Brief Summary)
Consider approval of a request to amend the fiscal year 2020-2021 budget to appropriate funds for decorative lighting along 6th Street from 9th Avenue to 2nd Avenue.
BACKGROUND
The Texas City Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC), in their April 13, 2021 meeting, approved a project for LED decorative lighting to be strung diagonally across 6th Street from 9th Avenue to 2nd Avenue. The cost of the project is $566,150, which will be funded from TCEDC's unassigned fund balance. Additional detail is included in the City Commission Resolution No. 21-027.
