ACTION REQUEST
Consider and take action Resolution No. 23-016, approving surface repairs to Rainbow Park splash pad and fall surface playground from BJ’s Park and Recreation Products through Buyboard (contract #679-22) – local government purchasing cooperative.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
Recreation and Tourism Department is requesting the purchase of services/repairs of existing Spray Deck area for the failing Pour In Place (PIP) surface that currently exists at the Rainbow Park splash pad.
The ADA Playground PIP replacement consists of approximately 1,612 sq ft of exposed surface and stabilizing which includes, approximately 7’ x 9’ concrete sub-base at the sidewalk area, and repair of the aggregate sub-base at the playgrounds ship area. Attached you will find a breakdown of the scope of work to be performed at both locations.

RECOMMENDATION
It is the recommendation of the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department to approve both surface repairs for Rainbow Park playground ($45,520) and Splash Pad ($35,764) from BJ’s Park and Recreation Products through Buyboard (contract #679-22) – local government purchasing cooperative for a total amount of $81,284. Funds are available in the FY2022-23 Dike Fund budget.
