ACTION REQUEST
The Municipal Court is requesting to add an 800 Amp Transfer Switch to the existing generator. This addition would allow the Municipal Court to have emergency power during a power outage.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
During the original construction of the Criminal Justice Building the courtroom and office areas were not wired for emergency power in the event of an outage. This was in large part due to the limited capacity of the fuel source. Since that time the smaller fuel tank has been replaced with a tank with a much larger capacity. This addition would allow for the safe and continuous operation of the Municipal Court during a power outage.
Funding is availible for the project in the Court Security Fund.

RECOMMENDATION
It is my recommendation that the request to add an 800 Amp Transfer switch be approved. I also recommend that $57,397.06 from the Security Fund be used for this purchase. I have attached the quote from Crescent Electric a Buy Board Member
