Approve and award a contract for bid no. 2023-435 Amburn Park and Freeway Park Drainage Improvements Project, to Teamwork Construction Services, Inc. from Houston, Texas.

Bid # 2023-435 Amburn Park and Freeway Park Drainage Improvements Project was advertised in the local area newspaper on June 30. 2023 and July 7, 2023. Bid packets were made available via CIVCASTUSA.
 The original bid opening date of July 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., was moved after the first set of advertisements and, in accordance with state and federal law, an additional single day ad was run on July 18, 2023 announcing the new opening date of July 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
Bids were received and opened on July 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. and the lowest responsible bid came from Teamwork Construction Services, Inc. from Houston, Texas, for the total bid amount of $4,888,334.00.
The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the GLO under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development CDBG-MIT program.

It is the recommendation of the Public Works Department to award bid no. 2023-435 Amburn Park and Freeway Park Drainage Improvements Project, to Teamwork Construction Services, Inc. of Houston, Texas, for the total bid amount of $4,888,334.00, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City Commission.
