ACTION REQUEST
Approve the purchase of parts and labor to replace the clarifier drive at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
BACKGROUND (Brief Summary)
This gear drive unit runs the entire clarifier, and the current unit is near its end of life. By replacing it now, this will eliminate the need to take the clarifier out of service for an extended period of time, keeping the City in compliance with our TCEQ Effluent Permit.
The total price, including parts and labor, is $130,000.00. Funding for this project is available in the maintenance account (501-703-53440) for the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
